Here are some fun facts about me, the metaphorical (wo)man behind the curtain:

My name is Lauren.

I am a twenty year old sophomore at Georgia Tech.

I love reading and writing, but not arithmetic.

Three summers ago I went to London and saw Emma Stone in Heathrow Airport. I bring this up whenever possible.

My favorite song is Flowers in Your Hair by the Lumineers.

I’ve been called a crazy feminist, so watch out.

If I had to choose my favorite book of all time I would say A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray. Runners up include Station Eleven, The Night Circus, Pride and Prejudice, East of Eden…

I have never had chocolate or cake that I didn’t like.

I strive to be more like Lizzy Bennet always.

I adore big cities, especially Florence, London, and New York City.

I’ve gotten lost in the gardens at Versailles.

I love reviewing books and movies. That or working as some sort of editor or publisher would probably be my dream job.

La La Land and Begin Again are two of my favorite movies and I memorized every word of every song before even watching them.

I live for clever pop-culture references.

I love tea. Hot tea, cold tea, you name it – as long as it’s mindbogglingly sweet.

I’ve only read the first two Harry Potter books. I liked the movies better.

I am grateful to you for taking the time to read, and I hope you enjoy!

  1. I’m so glad I found your blog! I love reading reviews and I really like your perspective on books/movies/life/Emma Stone :) (although I must respectfully disagree on your opinion of the Harry Potter series) I’ll definitely be following along!
