Here is a little bit about me, the metaphorical (wo)man behind the curtain:

My name is Lauren.

I am a nineteen year old college freshman at Georgia Tech.

I love reading and writing, but not arithmetic.

I’m very tall and very blonde. I have been told that I look like a combination of Dakota Fanning and Taylor Swift, as weird as that sounds. But more recently Skyler Samuels is the consensus. Discuss.

Three summers ago I went to London and saw Emma Stone in Heathrow Airport. I bring this up whenever possible.

I’ve been called a crazy feminist, so watch out.

If I had to choose my favorite book of all time I would say A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray. This has been true since eighth grade.

I have never had chocolate or cake that I didn’t like.

I strive to be more like Lizzy Bennet always.

I adore big cities, especially New York City.

I’ve gotten lost in the gardens at Versailles.

I love reviewing books and movies. That or working as some sort of editor or publisher would probably be my dream job.

I live for clever pop-culture references.

I love tea. Hot tea, cold tea, you name it – as long as it’s mindbogglingly sweet.

I’ve only read the first two Harry Potter books. I liked the movies better.

I am grateful to you for taking the time to read, and I hope you enjoy!

  1. I’m so glad I found your blog! I love reading reviews and I really like your perspective on books/movies/life/Emma Stone :) (although I must respectfully disagree on your opinion of the Harry Potter series) I’ll definitely be following along!
